The CBSC board introduced a new grading system called CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) for the class 10 and class 12 students in 2010.

The Central Board of Secondary Education declare that the CBSE result for class 10 and 12 students in the form of CGPA.

CGPA is the average of Grade Points achieve in all the subjects excluding additional 6th subject according to Scheme of Studies.

CGPA is not same as the percentage. There is a different process to calculate the percentage.
