The most accurate and user-friendly CGPA calculator for students. Track your academic progress and plan your studies effectively.
CGPA stands for Cumulative Grade Point Average. It is a system used by many universities, especially in India, to measure a student’s academic performance over a semester or across multiple semesters.
Instead of showing marks in percentage, CGPA presents a summary of a student’s performance in the form of grade points on a scale of 10.
Letter Grade | Grade Point | Marks Range |
---|---|---|
O (Outstanding) | 10 | 90–100% |
A+ | 9 | 80–89% |
A | 8 | 70–79% |
B+ | 7 | 60–69% |
B | 6 | 50–59% |
C | 5 | 40–49% |
P (Pass) | 4 | 35–39% (some cases) |
F (Fail) | 0 | Below 40% |
To calculate CGPA:
CGPA = (Sum of Grade Points × Course Credits) / Total Credits
If you took 3 courses:
Total Weighted Points = (8×4) + (7×3) + (9×2) = 71
Total Credits = 4 + 3 + 2 = 9
CGPA = 71 ÷ 9 = 7.89
To simplify this for students, we built a CGPA Calculator Tool using HTML and JavaScript. Here’s how it works:
